If you're with an experienced diver you can drift onto the wreck from upstream. A bottom current is pretty strong averaging around <2knots, but the wall provides a little bit of protection once you get down to the wreck. The descent line is tied near the props and then another line leads to the block on the bottom. There a line running alongside the wreck that could be used for pulling when the current is just too strong.

Description

The Daryaw is a 219 ft steel freighter that struck a nearby shoal on November 20th, 1941, carrying a load of coal, which is found in relative abundance nearby. The gash she suffered was too great and down she went with the loss of one crew member. She landed on the bottom inverted with bow upstream and is literally against a canyon wall to starboard with a mere ten feet separating them in spots.
Located upstream from the Brockville "narrows", the Daryaw rests at a depth of 90 ft. with a very quick surface current.
